In 1991, Modular Corp (M) Sdn. Bhd. launched the world's first application to replace bank passbooks with smart cards. More than ten years later, that technology remains the most reliable and secure form of electronic banking in the world.

Modular Corp's many ground-breaking achievements -- born from its focused commitment to R&D --has resulted in first hand proof that a small Malaysian company can make a significant impact on the way the world does business.

Ahead of its time from the beginning, Modular Corp was incorporated in Malaysia in 1987, when hardly anyone had even heard of smart cards. While many new smart card companies have emerged in recent years, Modular Corp remains in a class of its own by continuing to push limits and set standards in smart card-based technology and applications.

With a record a turnover of RM64.877 million for 2003, Modular Corp remains driven by the same vision, dedication and promise it has had since its early shoestring budget days: To move technology forward for the benefit of everyone.
